Today was another good day….that march towards Vancouver in May continues.
I’m planning on spending the rest of this week, finishing up, and figuring out this blogging thing?
I had huge plans for the day, but, improvised, went out for a relaxing 7K.
A quick drive to my favorite starting point, set the watch to 2Ks and 1 minute…..and go.
I took a bunch of unplanned turns, made the run up as I went along…..thought maybe 5K, but, well, felt like 7 would feel better…
I like that……I just have to keep remembering that this is for the long run, build the base, keep getting stronger, and then when I hit 18 weeks from that goal, start race specific training……and then I’ll stick to a schedule…now: endurance, foundation, strength……seems simple enough, and do-able.
This blogging thing seems more user unfriendly then I thought…….but…looking at other blogs, found a bunch I like, but they all seem so business like, selling stuff….I wouldn’t mind selling me, and making that worthwhile for others, but I don’t want to be a business with a one-size fits all, I want to do what I always do with those that walk into any of the run clinics I’ve taught…..advice, instruct, encourage, answer all questions, and those I can’t, include those that can……a coach?…sure, an expert?….well, experienced…..made every mistake possible, learned from all of them, learned from others, listen to, read, watched…..yeah, theres not much I haven’t done or watched….
Yeah, for the past 25 years I’ve been connected at the hip to the Running Room, that’s pretty much where I got my start….it was a good start…but it’s been a 26 year progression that had a lot more to do with those I’ve run and raced with, along side with…….yeah, it was a beginning and a continous guide, but it takes a village…..and a lot of friends….
I wanna share……I will suggest product, but I am not stuck to any one……and yeah, I’ll share the mistakes, what didn’t work…with what did…..and you know what’s always worked best…….the village.
