Every so often something happens that derails plans, and training just doesn’t/can’t happen.
Me, had a bit of a car accident this past week, which meant, other things to deal with, and running/training took a back seat to, well, life.
So what do you do?
Me, I bike…everywhere, normally.
Yeah, biking, a sweat once a day thing, but transportation. I hate driving, and try to do it as little as possible, so I bike, I walk, sometimes run to do short errands……so, I just spent the past few days, on my Marin Mountain Bike doing groceries, to and from work, to the auto repair shop……and yeah, it felt good doing it.
Some of you may have heard of legendary triathlete Sister Madonna Buder…..the Iron Nun, who competed in Ironman Triathlons, like on the big Kahuna on the big island of Hawaii, and this is how she trained…just everyday activities…….bike, walk, run..and yeah, I guess swim training…but when you can’t run, you just do whatever you can…….some things just come first…
and then when you can, you get back onto the routine..
