Two Runs One Day Now Rest

Wasn’t really planned this way, but it’s how it turned out.

I spent the morning trying to figure out the day…I’m free, I have the day off, the world is my oyster sort of thing.

Had thought of running stairs, maybe a bike ride, maybe a swim…but nah, a visit to the gym for some strength training, which felt really good and right……and why not go for a morning run…..6K felt really good……great even…almost as good as the post workout smoothy….

What a great way to begin a Wednesday….and my favorite way to train…random, hard, but enjoyable….it doesn’t have to feel like work……

The Tuesday evening SVAC Run Club run was as amazing as well…….so this morning was just a continuation of that……..fun runs…….and considering how I need to get stronger, and quicker, so run more, but smart, so tomorrow a rest day….cross training, and realizing that at almost 64 I just can’t run as quickly as I did when I was 54…..

Then tonight, Run Club, the Running Room Run Club Run…another easy 5K…a 5:37 pace..it was hard, I was really tired, really, really tired (I almost fainted after we finish…and yes it’s HOT!!!!………but it was so much fun….we had 6 in the group, two newcomers…..a success….

Tomorrow is sort of a rest day…I plan on biking to the store and back, should add up to about 15K, I gotta sort of be paitent, but to also set an example…and to run faster…..
