Got to Run Tonight

I got to run yet again..and it felt so good

Another great day….began with a strength workout……okay a hair cut and then to the gym for some strength stuff…

the usual…….leg presses, benches on the smith machine with the counter weight, shoulder presses, db presses, tri presses..just enough, and one smoothy later all good…

and then a run through the tress, an off road, the River Lot again…….and a lot of fun on 7K

felt good, we had a great group…….the group thing is going great, a few new to us runners, and a few of the regulars, some stupid quick, some slower…..we’ve a group…….a group run!

and now one of many…….

This is actually going great….3, sometimes 4 group runs a week, every week, no matter what, I have to run 4 days, 4 runs a week, sometimes not long, sometimes, longer….but 4 runs, fit it a few spins on the bike, a swim, some strength training….every week is a good week, and every week I feel stronger……..

And yep, even though I’m a sore as heck, my legs feel every cell every time I move, I know that there is a rest day coming up soon, and every step, every work out, is getting me to where I want to go……it’s so awesome that I, 63 years old, almost 64, still get to do this…..

The Victoria Half Marathon is about 4 weeks, more or less, and yep, I’m gonna be ready……
