An Early Day…time for a nap?

Yikes not one, but two coyotes!…or was it the same one twice?

Anyway, for some reason after a lot of false starts, for some reason, this morning…..awake at 5:30, run at 6…

Just a 6K, but the run felt really good. I was on my own, in the dark….some paved trails, streets….at one point, wasn’t entirely sure where I was….and had to read a street sign…it was great.

Weird, no one else out running…other than two coyotes.

A few hours later, holy crap I’m tired?……but oh well…a nap, making dinner ….and watching football all good.

Am still trying to decide what I’m training for…….a half marathon in Vancouver (right now, checking out Air B&Bs, flights)…that 5 Peaks off road 15K…..or a half marathon here in St. Albert or in Edmonton…all on the same weekend, three of them on the same day!

Okay, so I don’t look happy….that was before breakfast..waffles improvised. we were out of flour, so something called spelt flour?

Tomorrow…a 10K+ … looking forward to that…..once I decide on what I’m aiming for, I guess I’ll than lay out a training plan…..they’re all about the same distance, so I guess all the same training plan.

It’s also a new year….time to add. I want to cross train like crazy…..so next week, time to start adding that pool, those skies, and time to spin or at least hop on my own bike trainer…

Also though……I’ve gotta ask…how to work my age into all of this…two rest days? complete or active rest.

Diet’s important…but rest and recovery….well a new year, this blog will make a change in direction…let’s see how this works out…like a good mystery
