A Day Began Early…

So, yeah, I woke up at stupid o’clock this morning for a short 6K run, in the dark……it felt good while I was doing it, but, well, by noon I felt like a zombie….so, well…why not go to a lunch time 45 minute spin class…. how much fun could that feel like

I love days like this….it’s probably why I liked triathlons…and training for them…..training was built around entire days…..each day was different….cross training, and doing a lot of stuff…

This week’s goal is to figure that out. I need my rest days, trying to run every day, not taking rest days just arn’t working…maybe the secret to being a senior and training is to train like a triathlete…….keep training, keep working on that endurance….but less time with that high impact with every step……

I’ve got my pen and paper and calendar out, and figuring this all out…..not sure how. I still need my endurance runs, my long slow distance runs…yep hills….and I still have run club runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays………so run those days…for sure…..now to figure out how that works. What days do I take for rest days, and are cross training days rest days?….Spin, and swim, cross country skiing……and strength. yoga, stretching…this is going to take a while…

That the thing right…learning how to play the piano in front of a huge audience…
