It’s weird huh? I hate taking selfies…so don’t have many of them….

Last night was a rough one…..dad’s being moved from hospital to rehab hospital back to hospital, dealing with heart, heart valves and pneumonia…..so will be in hospital with lots of antibiotics for weeks, pen heart surgery is out of the question……

I was orignally planning on a full marathon in Vancouver in May, then reduced that to half, now not going at all…..it’s only 10 weeks away, and well, I need to be close to home…

It’s kind of killing me….except for during the height of COVID I’ve been in Vancouver every May forever, of course including when I lived there…..every year, the week of our wedding anniversary, yep, I’m in Vancouver…but not this spring…maybe I’ll find something there in the fall…

Kind of sad, but, well, there are other races here…there’s an off-road 5 Peaks race on that same day, so why not?…..and I have a 25K off road race at the end of May as well….so I will be running, just not Vancouver…

That’s just life

and yep, cancelling an Air B&B is expensive, basically only half of waht I paid out back, but, well, seems the right thing to do..and it’s not like I have a lot of other races, there are other races…..so maybe I’ll just race close to home in 2023……possibly Victoria in the fall….who knows…
