Kind of a Fantastic Day began slowly..

I had big plans for the morning…but, well, the get up and go was gone…at one point I thought the day was going to me in front of the TV and chilling out for the day….

Had a shower and thought…..what the hell, there’s a spin class at my Club, the Sturgeon Valley Athletic Club, a 45 minute Zen type spin with the instructor/leader Sandy….I wasn’t sure at first….got there, hoped on the bike, a good group of other riders, about 6 of us…..I was at the back of the room….and once we got going….felt awesome

Not quit that awesome, but good….45 minutes went by fast….and possibly for the first time ever, when I stood up to spin, the knees did not hurt……that felt so good…I could stand up and match the person in front of me (yep they’re stationary bikes, I couldn’t pass her) stride for peddle stroke…..and lots of speed…the heart rate felt high, but wasn’t…..my average 106, max 137…..I need to go harder next time….but

well, I got out of the house and did something…

and then I hit the weights for a bit…..about 30 minutes, upper body…..db bench, lat pulldowns, seated db press, seated rows, tri pushdowns, and then db curls….not much, but yeah, good stuff.

You know sometimes things just feel right…all I had to do was get out of the house…

Then coffee, groceries….I’m responsible for dinner…so burgers, fries, chicken nuggets…..just cause, protein, and the kids will eat it!

Een found time to listen to some tunes and to crank up the guitar…..that felt so great..

When I heard that the Doobie Brothers were coming to town soon…gotta see how many of the tunes I remember..

A good, grand, day……

Tomorrow’s a new day, and a day of change……..my final day selling shoes…..life progresses, life changes…I have no idea what’s next….more training…..more trips to the gym, and once the snow and ice departs…that bike’s gotta hit the road…

I’ve got an oppertunity to do whatever…so it’s time to get out and do that….

Like today, I just needed to step out that door and just do something…and something felt so good…..not a see-er, but a do-er
