some people may think differently, but this morning was my idea of a great time….

what a blast…it took me a while to get my butt out the door and down to the Edmonton river valley, and seriously, I thought this would be a quick 5K maybe…then possibly a swim….

but all good…..

Okay, so I was happy on the inside, but almost 13K…….yes, a 5K became a 12.7 run….not all that quick, I managed to find some ice….

But it felt good to just go and make things up as I went along…..

again the trick was to realize that, I really don’t have to be anywhere……so I can pretty much run as far and for as long as I want…..

so I did

and then why not hit the pool for a quick swim afterwards……nothing spectacular….but 1,000 meters, and then a visit to the hot tub

The plan was lunch afterwards…but my usual haunt is close on Mondays? WTF!

Couple of weird things….felt lightheaded after just over 10 minutes in the hot tub, really light headed, like almost fainting lightheaded….am not sure what that was all about……

But, no matter..I seriously needed this, needed today…..just getting out and go, gone……I love that, that’s why I do this stuff….I’m never going to be a Boston Marathoner, winning races, that’s not me…..I just run, bike, swim, whatever, because it feels so good, so right…it’s like being a kid and going exploring…..just for fun…
