Okay, so a half marathon, the Edmonton Half Marathon on Sunday morning, at 8AM…..OMG!
Okay, good news, my back feels okay..alright even……did a short 5K-ish run this morning in the rain, and it felt okay…..so, a half marathon is just four 5Ks right…so that should be okay….
I have no goal time, I just want a 21K training run….so I’ll wake up in my hotel room, walk across the parking lot to the start line, hook up with my pace bunny of choice (maybe 2:30?)….and will go for a run…easy huh?
My longest run to date has been 16K, and I survived…..lots of 10, 12, 14K runs, so I’ll be fun…well be doing 10 and 1 intervals…I know the course, an out and back…..it’ll be fine.
It’ll be nice to go for a run, have lots of oppertunities to distract myself, and really, just go for a run..a test run.
Yep the last time I ran the Edmonton Half I had a beard and was a lot lighter……and could never figure out what my leg looked like when it hit the ground….and yes, I pronate…
It was a good day…a good run, relaxing day…and I’m all set……….
