AM I ACTUALLY TRAINING?

I know, I know, I need to follow a schedule, but F it, I’m just enjoying this…an, I am so f-ing sore?

This is getting serious…..

I’m actually doing stuff, new stuff, a lot of stuff, and a lot of runnin’; last night was kind of a revelation: I kept up – my avg. pace turned out to be 6:37 per K, fastest pace was 5:07, yes, only for 5K, but it felt good and relaxed, so I guess fun…the secret, start strong..and then stay quick, quicker leg turnover, eventually, it feels okay…

DOING MORE STUFF

Wow..who knew…I’m already certified in CPR, and am now getting that First Aid ticket this weekend at a place called Fast Beats ….then next month I begin working on becoming a certified trainer with Alberta Fitness ….yeah, maybe working with seniors, or everybody , but having that sounds like the right thing to do…..and I’ll get to learn things, so why not?

Maybe that’s the direction this is going….do I want to become a personal trainer?. a group trainer, just something….Maybe?….

I’ll just roll with this and see where it goes……

It does seem to be how this life is going anyway; since, maybe even before I retired, things got good when I just went with whatever, falling into things, saying yes more often than I said no……

Things do get frustrating when I see or hear things that I know are wrong, the wrong running form, using equipment in the gym that I know is wrong….it’d be nice to be in a position to point that all out, right? ……..

Just from experience I just know right?…I’ve done the marathons, half marathons, triathlons, ironman triathlons (I am an IRONMAN!)..or at least I was….bodybuilding, a novice level bodybuilding judge so maybe becoming a certified trainer is the way to go….maybe it’s the way I’ve been goin all along

I ain’t getting any younger?

WHAT’S ON THE SCHEDULE. RACE GOALS!

so soon…I’ve got a 10K on July 1st…..celebrating Canada Day with a 10K….should be fun, and I have done this before, so good…

July 16th I’ve got a 5 Peaks Trail Race to get done…it’ll be short, but off road, and fun…..and why not…

The next big goal, August 21st, the Edmonton Half Marathon, and then October 9th the Victoria Full Marathon…

am not sure about the last things…full, vs, half marathon?….can I do, or will my body even let me get to a full…half marathons are more fun…..and is their something I could do in Vancouver rather than Victoria?

the weekend’s coming

Tonight will be another 5K run, tonight with the Running Room gang…tomorrow, weights, sell some shoes….Friday, bike, swim, run?….Saturday will be all about First Aid and then Sunday, a 12K run with an extra helping of pool time seems in order….

Today, just hanging out, eating, chilling, laundry, gardening…blogging, catching up on the blogs….then, yep, there that 5K tonight……
